1. What is Privacy Policy?

Call Blocker understands the importance of preserving your privacy. In this Privacy Policy (“Policy”), we will describe how we collect, use, and transmit information that we obtain about users of our mobile applications, services and corresponding Web sites (collectively, our “Apps”). We will also explain why, on what legal basis, and how we process personal data and, if you are the subject of any of the personal data concerned, what rights you have and how to get in touch with us if you need to.

By accepting our Terms of Service and this Policy using our Apps, you agree that your personal information will be handled as described in this Policy. Your use of our Apps, which includes any services available through our Apps, is subject to this Policy and our Terms of Service, not including its applicable limitations on damages and the resolution of disputes. Our Terms of Service are incorporated by reference into this Policy.

Please note that our Apps may contain links to third-party Web sites. Any access to and use of such linked Web sites is not governed by this Policy, but instead is governed by the privacy policies of those third party Web sites. We are not responsible for the information practices of such third party Web sites.

2. Information We Collect

2.1. Information you provide to us

  • Billing and payment information: In order to purchase a service, you may need to provide us with certain details such as billing name, billing contact details (street addresses, email addresses), and payment instrument details.
  • Communications and submissions: You may choose to provide us with information when you communicate with us (e.g. via email, phone, or chat for support or to inquire about our services), including when you fill out an online form, respond to surveys, provide feedback, post comments to our website, participate in promotions, or submit information through our services.
  • Contact Information: Call blocker needs access to your Contacts to be able to detect any potential threats or spammers present in your contact list. If found, those along with all the subsequent Spam numbers marked by you will be uploaded using a secure connection and stored in our server so that we can provide a better service for you. Your all-other contacts are never uploaded or stored in any way.
    Please note that no other contact information other than the phone numbers and thereto attached names will be collected and used. Other information that may be contained in Your Contacts list will be filtered away by our safety algorithms and will therefore not be collected.

2.2. Information collected when you use our services

  • Usage information: We collect information about how you interact with our services, such as how often you use our services, how much bandwidth you use, and when and for how long you use our services.
  • Device information: We collect information from and about the device you use to access our services, including about the browsers and Call Blocker apps you use to access our services. For example, we may collect device identifiers, browser types, device types and settings, operating system versions, mobile, wireless, and other network information (such as internet service provider name, carrier name and signal strength), and application version numbers.
  • Diagnostic information: We may collect information about the nature of the requests that you make to our servers (such as what is being requested, information about the device and app used to make the request, timestamps, and referring URLs). However, our VPN products do not log any information that associates your identity with your VPN browsing activity. We do not maintain any records that show what you were browsing or accessing through a VPN connection.
  • Location information: Unless otherwise expressly stated, we do not collect your location information based on your device’s GPS or other device sensor data. However, we may collect your approximate location by calculating an imprecise latitude and longitude based on your IP address to provide you with better service (e.g. to connect you to the nearest and fastest VPN server).

2.3. Information provided to us by third parties

  • Referrals: If you are invited to use the Call Blocker service, the person who invited you may submit your personal data, such as your email address or other contact information.
  • Threat Information: We receive information from reputable members of the security industry who provide information to help us to provide, develop, test, and improve our services (for example, lists of malicious URLs, spam blacklists, phone number blacklists, and sample malware). Some of this information may contain personal data on an incidental basis.

You generally do not have a duty to disclose personal data to us unless you have a contractual obligation to us to do so. However, we need to collect and process certain information that is necessary or legally required in order to provide the services to you or otherwise perform our contractual relationships with you.

3. How We May Use Your Personal Information

We may use the information we collect for a variety of purposes, such as the following:

  • Performing our services, providing customer service, operation our website and mobile applications; processing or fulfilling orders and transactions, verifying user information, processing payments
  • Communicating about the products and services we offer, and responding to requests, inquiries, comments, and suggestions
  • Providing social or community features including publicly displaying comments that you voluntarily post
  • Internal research, understanding and evaluating how our Services and features perform with our users
  • Uncovering insights about usage in order to improve the Services and provide customers with enhanced features as well as inform our development of new features and products.
  • Development of customized or personalized experiences of our Services, such as remembering your information so you do not have to re-enter it each time you use one of our Services
  • Auditing Interactions with Consumers, measuring usage of our websites and mobile applications, measuring our advertising and marketing activity (e.g., measuring how a user was acquired)
  • To provide you with a secure experience and to take measures to protect our website and mobile applications from cyber risks
  • Protecting against, identifying, investigating, preventing, and responding to fraud, illegal activity (such as incidents of hacking or misuse of our websites and mobile applications), and claims and other liabilities, including by enforcing the terms and conditions that govern the Services we provide
  • Debugging/Repair identification and repair of impairments to intended, existing functionality of our Services
  • Understanding our customer in order to more effectively market our Services
  • We use your email (with your consent where required) to send you information about our products and services and exclusive offers
  • Quality and Safety Maintenance and Verification activities related to improving the quality of the Services we provide, including upgrade or enhancement of the Services

  • Tracking and responding to quality and safety matters
  • Protecting our rights and property
  • Complying with legal or regulatory requirements, judicial process, industry standards, and our company policies
  • We may also aggregate and/or de-identify any information that we collect, such that the information no longer identifies any specific individual. We may use, disclose, and otherwise process such information for our own legitimate business purposes -- including historical and statistical analysis and business planning -- without restriction.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We may retain your personal information for the longer of three (3) years after we become aware that you have ceased using our Services or for so long as we have a legitimate business need for the information or to fulfill any legal and regulatory obligations. We may retain other information that is not personally identifiable for backups, archiving, prevention of fraud and abuse, analytics, or where we otherwise reasonably believe that we have a legitimate reason to do so. We may not know if you have stopped using our Services so we encourage you to contact us at the appropriate contact email in the How to Contact Us section of this Privacy Policy if you are no longer using the Services.

5. What are the legal grounds for our processing of your personal data?

The legal bases on which we process your personal data is described below:
- We process data as necessary to perform our contracts with you, or in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into such a contract;
- In cases where this is necessary and you give us your consent to the processing of your personal data, we also rely on consent in relation to the processing concerned (see below for how to withdraw your consent at any time).
- Otherwise, we will process your personal data where the processing is necessary:
- For the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by us or another person, provided that this will only be in circumstances in which those legitimate interests are not overridden by your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms which require protection of personal data. In order for us to be able to provide our services to our users, we may have to rely on information about you that we have obtained from persons other than you, such as our users or third parties. The legitimate interests we rely on for this processing include the interest of ours and most of all our users’ of protecting them from unwanted disturbances, such as phone-calls and texts from businesses or individuals with whom they do not, and most likely do not want to, make contact. We only process personal data on the basis of this legitimate interest where the processing of that data is absolutely necessary in order to enable us to provide the services to our users;
- For compliance with a legal obligation to which we are a subject;
- For the protection of your vital interests or those of another person;
- For the performance of a task carried out in the public interest, insofar as the processing has a basis in Union or Member State law.

6. What are your rights?

Depending on your country of residence, you may have certain legal rights in relation to your personal data that we maintain. Subject to exceptions and limitations provided by applicable law, these may include the right to:

  • restrict the processing of your personal data;
  • object at any time to the processing of your personal data;
  • have your personal data erased;

Please note your rights and choices vary depending upon your location, and some information may be exempt from certain requests under applicable law.

7. How can you exercise your rights?

You may exercise your above rights, including your right to withdraw your consent and access to your personal data, by: - Contacting us using the details in the “Contact Us” section below. As permitted by law, we may ask you to verify your identity before taking further action on your request. - Writing to us at any of the addresses specified on the top of this document. Please note that copies of information that you have updated, modified or deleted may remain viewable in cached and archived pages of the App for a period of time. Please note that we may be required to ask you for further information in order to confirm your identity before we provide the information requested.

8. Changes to this Privacy

This Policy is current as of the Effective Date set forth above. We may change this Policy from time to time, so please be sure to check back periodically. We will post changes to this Policy on our Apps. If we make any changes to this Policy that materially affect our practices with regard to the personal information we have previously collected from you, we will endeavor to provide you with notice in advance of such change by highlighting the change on our Apps and their corresponding Web sites, sending a push notification, or displaying on any of the Web sites associated with our Apps.
